About the race
The fourth Breathe n Run is a community 5 km fun run/walk held on August 7, 2027 in Virginia Beach at FishTails by Oceans, 1401 Atlantic Ave. The event is presented in memory of a family member and is organized to raise awareness about pulmonary fibrosis and to support related research. The event lists a fundraising goal of $12,000 for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation and notes that pulmonary fibrosis affects over 250,000 Americans annually. A post-race celebration will take place at FishTails, and part of the venue's sales proceeds will be donated to the cause.
Awards and raffles are scheduled as part of the post-race activities. Practical details include a packet pick up on the Friday before the race at Wild South from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with ID required for insurance and safety purposes. The registration fee is $25.00. Race day parking is available at the 14th Street parking lot (212 14th St) and the 9th Street public parking garage (200 9th St).
