Breath of Life 5K - Chattanooga
Breath of Life 5K is a fundraising event held at The Fry Center, 4301 Amnicola Hwy, Chattanooga, TN on May 23, 2026. The event benefits tracheostomy families in the southeast Tennessee region; proceeds support local trach and vent dependent families through the Chattanooga Tracheostomy Families group.
The event program includes multiple options:
- 5K (3.1 Miles)
- Trach Angels Memorial Mile (1 Mile)
- Virtual 5K (3.2 Miles)
- Kid's Zone activities
- Sponsor a Trach Family option
Registrations for the in-person races and virtual 5K include a t-shirt, a post-race gift, and snacks. Virtual 5K registrants are asked to specify whether they prefer t-shirt pick up or delivery. The Kid's Zone offers face painting, sensory games, bubbles, an inflatable, and crafts; there is a fee structure for Kid's Zone access with reduced cost when an accompanying adult is registered for a race, and no charge for children who are registered to race.
Chattanooga Tracheostomy Families is a support group that became a non-profit this year. The group supports families of children with tracheostomies in the Chattanooga area through hospital support, education, community engagement, and advocacy, and reports a community of approximately 50 members.
