Breath of Life 5K
Breath of Life 5K is a benefit event presented by Chattanooga Tracheostomy Families to support tracheostomy and ventilator-dependent families in southeast Tennessee. Funds raised will support local families through hospital support, education, community engagement, and advocacy.
The event includes multiple distance options:
- 3.1 miles - 5K
- 1 mile - Trach Angels Memorial Mile
- 3.2 miles - Virtual 5K (Just here for the T-Shirt)
Race entry includes a t-shirt, a post race gift, and snacks. The virtual 5K asks participants to specify pick up or delivery of the t-shirt.
Additional offerings include a Kid's Zone with face painting, sensory games, bubbles, an inflatable, and crafts for $10. If an adult participant is racing, Kid's Zone is $5 for their child. If a child is registered for a race, Kid's Zone is free.
The event also features a Trach Family Parade and a one mile fun run/walk. Walk-up registrations and packet pickup will be available at the venue.
Chattanooga Tracheostomy Families is a support group that recently became a nonprofit. The group serves roughly 50 members and provides ongoing support as families adjust to life with trach and vent care. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
