Breast Cancer Awareness 5K
The Breast Cancer Awareness 5K is a community running and walking event held in Greenville, Ohio. The race takes place at Annie Oakley Memorial Park, specifically at the intersections of South Broadway, Martin Street, and Washington Street. All proceeds from the event support Breast Cancer Awareness of Darke County.
Participants can choose from the following events:
- 5K Ages 13 and Up
- 5K Ages 12 and Under
- Kids' Run (a short course for younger children)
The event utilizes electronic chip timing for the 5K distances. Divisions for the race are categorized by age, starting from 9 and under, up to 70 and over. Registrants have the option to include a race shirt with their entry if they register by the specified deadline.
Packet pickup is available the day before the event and on the morning of the race at the Gospel Baptist Church Recreational Building. Beyond the run, the event features post-race refreshments, door prizes, and a silent auction. An awards ceremony takes place later in the morning at Dave Knapp Ford, where a vehicle giveaway is conducted for eligible participants aged 18 and older who are present.
