Break The Silence - Domestic Abuse Council
Break The Silence is a community fundraising and awareness event organized by the Domestic Abuse Council on May 24, 2026 in Daytona Beach at the Riverfront Esplanade, 355 N. Beach Street, Daytona Beach, FL 32114. The event aims to raise awareness of domestic violence and provide resources and support services to people affected by domestic violence. Proceeds from sponsorships and donations will be allocated to the Domestic Abuse Council of Volusia County to support survivors.
The event offers two participation options:
- 3.1 Miles - 5K Run and Walk (in person)
- 3.1 Miles - Virtual 5K
In-person registration opens on January 24, 2026 and closes on February 22, 2026; the registration fee for the in-person 5K is $30. Virtual registration opens on March 23, 2026 and closes on May 24, 2026; the virtual registration fee is $35.
Packet pickup is available on Saturday, May 23 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm at The Running Elements, 260 Daytona Blvd D-410, Daytona Beach, FL 32114. Race day packet pickup is also available at 7:00 am. All participants receive a custom race shirt, a finishers medal, and are eligible for age group awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
