Brazos Bend 50 : Needville, Texas
The Brazos Bend 50 is the April edition of a multi-distance trail event held at Brazos Bend State Park near Houston/Sugar Land. The event center is Elm Lake Pavilion and races use marked loops around Horseshoe Lake, 40 Acre Lake, Hale Lake with Oxbow, Sawmill out-and-back, and the Nature Center.

The course is described as 99.9% flat with the only listed hill being ten feet. Surfaces include hard crushed rock, shaded hiking trails, and easy horse trails. Spring conditions are typically warm and humid with the possibility of cooler mornings. The park is noted for abundant birds and American alligators; organizers state there has been no incident related to wildlife.
Support and logistics include three fully stocked aid stations plus one unmanned water station, mandatory personal hydration (no cups provided), drop bags for 50 mile at Sawmill and Elm Lake, chip timing, race swag, and volunteer support. Pacers may join 50M runners on the final lap and must register. Every guest age 13 and over requires a special events park pass unless covered by race registration, pacer status, volunteer status, or a campsite reservation.
