Brazos Bend 50
The event on April 10, 2027 takes place at Brazos Bend State Park near Needville, Texas. Multiple distances are offered:

The course is described as overwhelmingly flat (99.9 percent flat) with the only hill listed at ten feet. Trail surfaces include hard crushed rock, soft hiking trails under a tree canopy, and easy horse trails. Spring conditions are typically warm and humid with the possibility of cooler mornings. The park is noted for abundant bird life and American alligators; the organizer reports no incidents involving wildlife.
Course formats and notable features by distance are described: the 50 mile consists of three laps including Horseshoe Lake, 40 Acre Lake, and Hale Lake with an out-and-back to Sawmill; the 50K is two laps on the same loop without the Horseshoe Lake loop; the 25K uses the same single lap as the 50K; the 10K includes Horseshoe Lake, 40 Acre Lake, and the Nature Center; the 5K is a loop around Elm Lake with a short out-and-back on the causeway.
Aid station support includes three fully stocked stations and one unmanned water fill, with a main start/finish aid and a personal support area at Elm Lake Pavilion. All runners must carry personal hydration; cups are not provided. Typical aid items listed include water, electrolyte mixes, bars, sandwiches, fruit, and basic medical supplies (no NSAIDs provided).
Parking and park access require use of designated paved spaces only, with shuttle service between parking areas and the start/finish. Special event park passes are required for most visitors aged 13 and over, while registered runners, pacers, volunteers, children 12 and under, and registered campers are exempt from that purchase. Camping must be reserved through the Texas State Parks reservation system; camping at event-area parking lots, pavilions, and overnight tents at Elm Lake are not allowed.
