9th Annual BRAVE Race 2026

The BRAVE Race is organized by The Joyful Child Foundation in memory of Samantha Runnion. The foundation runs programs to prevent crimes against children by educating, empowering, and uniting families and communities. Proceeds support the Be Brave-Be Safe empowerment programs.

The event takes place in Aliso Viejo, California, with an in-person option at Wolverine Stadium (Aliso Niguel High School, 28000 Wolverine Way, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656) and a virtual participation option on Sunday, February 22, 2026.

Awards include ribbons for the top three in each youth age category and handcrafted tiles for age-group winners. Prize money is available for the top three male and female finishers in the 5K and 10K. Course records are listed and breaking a course record earns free entry for the next year. Participants registered before January 15, 2026 receive a dri-fit shirt.

Early packet pickup for shirts and bibs is at Road Runner Sports, Laguna Hills, on Saturday before race day. Results will be posted on the event results pages and on Finished Results.
