Event overview
The 9th Annual BRAVE Race takes place on Sunday, February 22, 2026. The event is hosted by The Joyful Child Foundation and benefits the foundation's Be Brave-Be Safe empowerment programs. Participants may join in person at Wolverine Stadium, Aliso Niguel High School (28000 Wolverine Way, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656) or participate virtually from a location of their choosing.

Race options and fees
Both in-person and virtual entries are offered. Published registration fees include: 10K ($40 until 12/03/25; $55 until 2/08/26; $65 thereafter), 5K ($30 until 12/03/25; $45 until 2/08/26; $55 thereafter), 1K ($15). Virtual fees listed are Virtual 10K $50, Virtual 5K $45, Virtual 1K $15. Participants registered before January 15, 2026 will receive a dri-fit shirt. Same-day registration and check-in are available on race day.
Results, awards and prizes
Results will be posted on RunSignUp and Finished Results; virtual participants may submit times and download a certificate. Ribbons will be given to the top three in each youth age category for each gender (under 7; 8-9; 10-11; 12-13; 14-15; 16-17; 18-19). Handcrafted tiles will be given to winners in each age category for each gender (19 and under; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+). Prize money is offered for top three male and female finishers: 5K - $75, $50, $25; 10K - $100, $75, $25. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
