Brat Trot 5k : Terre Haute

Brat Trot 5k is an event hosted by Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church at 645 Poplar Street in Terre Haute. The event offers multiple race options across a looped course in the local brewing district. Parking is available in the back of the Vigo County Library parking lot at 1 Library Square.

The Beer Challenge uses a 1 mile loop completed three times. On each lap a participant must consume a 4 ounce beer and have a volunteer place a check mark on the bib; the total after three laps is 12 ounces. All beer for the Beer Challenge is provided by Afterburner Brewing Company. Participants must be 21 or older for the Beer Challenge; IDs will be checked and eligible participants will receive a different bib number and a non-removable bracelet. No strollers are allowed in the Beer Challenge; strollers are allowed in the non-beer Brat Trot 5K. Only one drink may be consumed per lap. To be eligible for Beer Challenge awards, each of the three beers must be consumed and marked by a volunteer; skipping a beer removes award eligibility.

All participants receive a race t-shirt (guaranteed if registered by Oct 5), a custom race bib, one free post-race beer for those 21 and over with ID, one free brat, and post-race refreshments. There is a $5 price increase for race day registration. Both 5K races offer awards including post-race Beer Steins for top three overall male and female finishers and bottle opener awards for top three in age groups male and female.
