About the Event
The 42nd Annual Brantford Rotary Classic Run takes place on the grounds of W. Ross Macdonald School in Brantford, Ontario. Organized by The Rotary Club of Brantford, this long-standing event serves residents of Brantford, Brant County, and surrounding areas. The run functions as a fundraiser for local youth projects, with proceeds benefiting organizations such as The Lansdowne Children’s Centre and The Boys and Girls Club of Brantford.
The event features several distances and formats:
- 10 km timed run
- 5 km timed run
- 3 mile walk
Participants receive a Rotary-branded finisher medal along with snacks and beverages from local sponsors upon completion. Results are captured via computerized timing provided by ChipTime Results. Awards are presented to the overall first-place male and female finishers in the 5 km and 10 km distances, as well as to winners in various age categories ranging from 9 and under to 80 and over.
Race packages can be collected at the race site on the Saturday afternoon prior to the event or on Sunday morning. Corporate teams are also welcome, with team registrations including custom t-shirts printed with the company name. Elementary students can compete for special fundraising prizes, and a pizza party is awarded to the top fundraising school. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
