Event Overview
The Brandywine Red Run is a fundraising event supporting the Brandywine Valley Hemophilia Foundation (BVHF). The foundation is a volunteer organization that has served the bleeding disorder community since 1972, raising more than one million dollars for medical research, educational programs, summer camps, and patient support.
Race Details
The event features a 5k race and welcomes both runners and walkers. It takes place at Bellevue State Park in Wilmington, Delaware. A race short sleeve t-shirt is guaranteed for registrations by a specific date, and pre- and post-race snacks are provided. There are activities and giveaways from sponsor tables.
Registration and Awards
Standard registration pricing applies, with a special student rate for participants aged 18 and younger. Awards are given for Overall Male/Female, Overall Masters Male/Female, and the top three in each age group. Age groups range from 13 and under to 70+.
Teams and Fundraising
Teams are encouraged to participate. Team leaders with at least three registered members are entered into a raffle for gift cards. The team with the most participants automatically receives a gift card. The top fundraising team receives a grant to attend a national conference.
