About the race
This event has concluded. The Brampton Tough Run marked its tenth year with a 5 km course of bootcamp-style obstacle stations at Chinguacousy Park. The route included ten supervised stations spaced along the course, with previous obstacles listed such as a ski hill climb and descent, agility activities, tire flips, load and carry, track activities, and a weighted drag. Staff supervised each station and could offer modifications when needed. Participants registered for individual heat slots; heats ran at regular intervals with 30 spots per heat.
Participants must be 14 years of age or older; those aged 14 to 17 required a waiver completed in person by someone over 18. The event was held outdoors rain or shine and included self-service water stations on course and a food truck at the pavilion after the run. The finish line was located across from the curling club and recreation and community partner booths were present at the site. Additional elements surrounding the event included Try It Stations across city fitness centres from August 31 to September 25 for mini demonstrations of course obstacles, a Fan Zone free for family and guests with a kid-sized challenge for ages 13 and under, and a branded fitness item for participants.
