Brampton Run for Veterans
The 8th Annual Brampton Run for Veterans takes place at the Chinguacousy Park Pavilion in Brampton, Ontario. Organized by The Regimental Association of the Lorne Scots, this event is designed to show support for veterans through a community sports gathering. The venue features various displays and a dedicated play area for children.
Participants can choose from several event categories:
- 5 km (timed run, untimed family walk/run, or team challenge)
- 10 km (timed run)
- Canadian Forces categories (5 km and 10 km timed runs or team challenge)
- Virtual options (5 km and 10 km distances)
Registration includes a runner's kit. For the family-oriented events, strollers and wagons are permitted on the course. Children aged 12 and under can participate for free when registered with an adult. Group discounts are automatically applied at checkout for registrations of four or more people.
The event site includes pre and post-run stretching services and a coffee truck operated by a local charity supporting adults with intellectual disabilities. A fundraising BBQ is also held during the event.
