Event Overview
The Brain Bolt 5K is a fundraising event for the Dura Mater Clubhouse, part of the Brain Injury Foundation of St. Louis (BIFSTL). All proceeds directly benefit the clubhouse, which focuses on helping members with brain injuries progress toward independence, achieve personal growth, and develop work readiness skills.
Distances
Participants can choose from two main event distances:
- A 5k run/walk
- A 1 mile run/walk
There is also a "Sponsor a Runner" option.
Course & Location
The event takes place at Creve Coeur Lake Park in Maryland Heights, Missouri. The course is described as a flat, out-and-back route along a bike path beside the lake. The park and bike path remain open to the public during the event.
Awards
Awards are given to the top three finishers in several age group categories: 1-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
Additional Information
Packet pickup is available on the Friday before the event at Big River Running Company in Ballwin, Missouri. Race day packet pickup is also available approximately one hour before the start. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
