Event information
The Brading 10 km takes place on 31 May 2026 as part of the Isle of Wight Festival of Running (31 May to 7 June 2026). The race is held at Smallbrook Stadium, Ryde, Post Code PO33 4BH. Entry is limited to 175 runners. Minimum age is 15 years. Entry fees are listed as £15 affiliated and £18 unaffiliated (plus a service charge); on-the-day entries (cash only) are higher. Online entry opens 5 October 2025. Transfers, withdrawals and refunds are allowed subject to the event refund policy; no deferrals. Refunds: up to three months before 90%, up to two weeks before 50%, less than two weeks before 0%.
Course and logistics
The course starts on the Smallbrook speedway track, follows Ashey Road, Green Lane and Beaper Shute, returns along Brading Road and Smallbrook Lane, and finishes in Smallbrook Stadium. There are marker boards at each kilometre and a water station at approximately 5 km. Numbers and timing chips are issued at registration. The official finish time limit is 1 hour 35 minutes (15 min/mile pace); the cut off may be enforced at the race director’s discretion. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs and holds an SEAA Course Accuracy Certificate (Course 23/083).
For safety, in-ear or over-ear headphones are not permitted; bone-conducting headphones are allowed. Dogs are not permitted on the course. Awards include overall and veteran placings for men and women, age-category prizes, team prizes for teams of three, and a souvenir for all finishers.
