Brading 10km : event summary
Brading 10km is a road race held on 31 May 2026 as part of the Isle of Wight Festival of Running. The event is licensed (Race Licence No. #30152) and is operated under UKA rules. Entry is limited to 175 runners and the minimum age is 15 years. Numbers and timing chips are issued at registration on race day.
Entry fees vary by affiliation and timing. An early bird rate ends on 1 February. Online entry is preferred and the closing date for entries is 24 May 2026; transfers are permitted up to 26 May 2026. Refunds follow the stated policy: up to three months before the race 90%, up to two weeks before 50%, and less than two weeks 0%. No deferrals are available.
The course starts on the Smallbrook speedway track and follows Ashey Road, Green Lane and Beaper Shute before returning via Brading Road and Smallbrook Lane to finish in Smallbrook Stadium. Marker boards are placed at each kilometre and a water station is located at about 5 km. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs and holds an SEAA Course Accuracy Certificate 23/083. The official finish time limit is 1 hour 35 minutes; the cut off will be enforced at the race director’s discretion.
Race HQ and registration are at Smallbrook Stadium, Ryde. Presentation of awards takes place at the race HQ and uncollected prizes will be posted within seven days. Safety rules include a prohibition on in-ear or over-ear headphones while bone conduction devices are allowed, and dogs are not permitted. UKA anti-doping procedures apply and medical information provided with entries will be shared with the medical provider in accordance with GDPR.
