Boxing Day Challenge 2026
The Boxing Day Challenge is a six hour timed running event held on 26 December 2026 at Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club, Riverside, Egham TW20 0AA. The course is an out and back route of 3.28 miles along the River Thames. A separate earlier turn point creates a 5 km option and the 10 km distance is two laps of the 5 km section.
The event offers a range of distances and a time based challenge format so participants can complete distances from 5 km up to ultramarathon within the six hour limit. A final lap may be started before the end of the six hour period. The event is licensed by the TRA and is run under UKA Athletics rules.
Facilities at the venue include toilets and changing at the rowing club. There is no official baggage drop; bags left beside the start and finish are unmanned and are stored at participants own risk. An aid table is provided at the end of each lap with water, squash, fizzy drinks and a variety of food. Parking is available at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds and requires payment.
Additional event details include a maximum of 100 entrants, a minimum age of 12 years, and entries close on 25 December 2026.
