Boxing Day Challenge 2026
Boxing Day Challenge is a six hour timed running event at Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club on the River Thames in Egham. The event takes place on public footpaths and follows a flat, multi-terrain route alongside the river.
The primary lap is an out-and-back course of 3.28 miles along the Thames. A 5k option is available via an earlier turn point, and a 10k is completed by running the 5k lap twice. The event allows participants to cover distances from a 5k up to an ultra distance within the six hour time limit.
Event facilities include toilets and changing at the rowing club. There is no official, supervised baggage service; bags may be left next to the start and finish area at the owner’s risk. At the end of each lap there will be an aid table offering water, squash, fizzy drinks and a variety of food. Parking is available on site at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds for a fee.
Maximum entries are 100 and the minimum age for participants is 12 years. Entry fees listed are £33 for affiliated runners and £35 for non affiliated runners. Participants are asked to be considerate to other users of the public footpath during the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
