Boxer 500
The Boxer 500 is a community run and walk held on August 30, 2026, as an in-person and virtual event. The in-person event takes place at Werner Park in Omaha, Nebraska, and the virtual event is scheduled for the weekend of August 29-30, 2026.
Event options include the following distances:
- 5K run/walk
- 1 Mile walk
- 1K Kids Run
- Kids Dash
Live event registrations include a Boxer 500 T-shirt, unique survivor T-shirts, finisher medals, a pancake feed, and a kids zone. Virtual registrations include a Boxer 500 T-shirt, unique survivor T-shirts, and finisher medals. T-shirts are guaranteed only for participants registered by August 13, 2026. Same-day registrations will not be timed. Survivors may register for free using the code SURVIVOR.
Packet pickup is available at Peak Performance on the Saturday before the event and at Werner Park on the event day. The virtual Boxer 500 welcomes participants to choose their own time, distance, and route during the event weekend; family members, pets, and strollers are permitted.
Proceeds from the Boxer 500 remain in Omaha and support the task force mission of saving lives from colon cancer through education, early detection, and prevention. Each March the task force distributes hundreds of free at-home colon cancer screening kits in the community through partnerships and volunteer efforts.
