Bowood House Triathlon and Running Festival
The Bowood House Triathlon takes place within the grounds of Bowood House and Gardens in the Wiltshire countryside. This multisport event features various distances for both adults and junior participants, with the bike segments held on tarmac surfaces and the run segments utilizing multi-terrain paths through the estate gardens and landscapes.
The event includes the following race options:
- Olympic Triathlon: Ages 16 and over
- Sprint Triathlon: Ages 15 and over
- 5k Run
- 10k Run
- Super Sprint Triathlon: Dedicated to Youth and Junior participants
- Tri Star 1, 2, and 3: Specific distances for ages 9 to 14
The triathlon categories feature specific elevation profiles, with the Olympic distance bike leg involving 46m of elevation and the run leg involving 66m. Participants receive chip-timed results, free race photos, a themed medal, and post-race refreshments. An event village is available on-site, offering food and drink options for athletes and spectators.
In collaboration with Macmillan Cancer Support, the festival aims to provide a supportive race-day atmosphere.
