Bowen Mudder 2026
Bowen Mudder 2026 is a mudder-style fun run held at Island Pacific School on Nexwlélexwm (Bowen Island), the ancestral and unceded territory of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation). The event uses a forested course with classic mudder obstacles and runs that start and finish at the school.
Distances offered:
- 2 km fun mudder course.
- 5 km mudder obstacle run.
Costumes and team themes are encouraged. The event includes a group warm up before the runs and waves of participants, with 5K runners released before waves for the 2K fun run. Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in the 5K for both under 18 and over 18 categories, plus awards for best costume and team spirit. Change tents are available for participants after the run.
Event operations noted include shuttle bus service between Snug Cove ferry terminal and the school to serve arriving ferries from Horseshoe Bay, on-site registration and bib pickup in front of the school, and a same-day 20% discount at the Bowen Pub for bib holders. The Bowen General Store is donating post-race hot chocolate and snacks, and Medicine Wheels mobile BBQ will offer food for purchase with an Indigenous flair.
