Bovingdon 10K and Fun Run
The Bovingdon 10K and Fun Run are organised by Bovingdon Football Club and Gade Valley Harriers and take place from the club grounds in the Hertfordshire countryside. The main race is a certified, officially measured, chip timed road event on quiet country lanes; road shoes are recommended. The event holds an England Athletics event licence number 30200 and places are limited to a maximum of 300 runners for the main race.
Distances
- 10 km on a certified country lanes course
- Fun Run of about one mile around the football pitches
Entry fees include a chipped race number and a medal. The published fee for the 10 km is £22 or £20 for EA affiliated athletes; the fun run entry fee is £5 when registered at the club. Entries are non refundable but may be transferred. Prizes are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers and for first in age categories. There are two water stations on the route, portable toilets on site and a bag drop area left at the owner’s risk. Parking is available on the field and in the main car park with restrictions while the race is underway. Dogs, buggies and headphones are not permitted. Any surplus funds support event costs and the chosen charity for the year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
