Vitality Bournemouth Bay Run 2026
The Vitality Bournemouth Bay Run takes place on 22 March 2026 along Bournemouth’s seven-mile stretch of golden sand. The event offers multiple distances over coastal roads and promenades, with allocated entry fees and age requirements for each race.
Distances and basic entry details:
- Half Marathon, chip timed, minimum age 17, UKA price £30 early, £32 normal
- 10K, chip timed, minimum age 15, UKA price £24 early, £26 normal
- 5K, chip timed, minimum age 11, entry fee £12
- 1K Kids Fun Run, no minimum age, entry fee £8
The half marathon is one of the Dorset Road Race League fixtures (4 of 12). Route maps are provided for each distance. Entries close by 19 March 2026 or sooner if capacity is reached. Wheelchair entries are accommodated.
The event includes environmental measures to reduce single use plastic, for example boxed water and paper cups on the course, canned water at the finish, recycling nets and bins, and a move to online goody bags. Organisers encourage sustainable travel and provide a luggage marquee for participant belongings. Race kit packaging has been reduced and medals are grouped in shared packaging.
