Boulder Sunset 10K & 5K Run
The Boulder Sunset Run takes place at Boulder Reservoir in Boulder, Colorado on August 29, 2026. The event offers two distances:
- 5K - out and back; flat; crosses the Boulder Reservoir dam; 2 fuel opportunities.
- 10K - out and back; flat; crosses the Boulder Reservoir dam; 6 fuel opportunities.
Both courses are described as flat and run across the reservoir dam, with aid stations located at or near mile markers and a slight downhill finish.
Logistics and entry
The event is designated a Zero Waste Event; recycling is requested. Rules for the course include no strollers, no headphones or earbuds, no dogs at the Boulder Reservoir, and no glass bottles at the Boulder Reservoir.
Packet pick-up is scheduled at multiple locations and times: Arvada Triathlon Company in Arvada on Thursday, August 27; Road Runner Sports Westminster on Friday, August 28; and race morning pick-up at the Boulder Reservoir parking lot near the timing trailer/finish line on Saturday, August 29. Entry fees vary by registration date: 5K fees are $40 / $50 / $60 and 10K fees are $50 / $60 / $70. Sponsors listed include Road Runner Sports.
