Boulder Beast - Lock Haven, PA
Boulder Beast is a trail running event in Lock Haven, PA on Saturday, September 19, 2026. The start and finish are at the Castanea Township Fire Company picnic grounds. There is free parking and ample camping space with no reservations required.

The course includes a notable boulder field and follows trails named Goat Path, Lightning Ridge, Gut Check, Black Diamond, Crossover, Fleming Way, Chestnut Flats, and the Gorge Trail. The 25K route begins with about 3.5 miles of road followed by roughly 3 miles of trail and reaches the Rote Overlook before returning to the finish.
Registration opens December 16 at 7pm EST and is limited to the first 600 runners or until the September 1 registration deadline. Entry fees are listed as $80 for the 25K and $90 for the 25 miler. The event policy states there are no refunds, bib switches, deferments, resale of bibs, or unregistered participants.
