BougeBouge Marathon and Verdun Festival 2026
The BougeBouge Marathon and Verdun Festival takes place in Verdun, Montreal, on a route that runs mainly along the river bike path. The event offers several certified distances and is sanctioned Gold by Athletics Quebec; the 5 km, 10 km, 21.1 km and 42.2 km distances are certified by Athletics Canada. The marathon is recognized as a Boston Marathon qualifying event. The marathon has a six hour chip time limit and requires a minimum pace of 8 minutes 32 seconds per kilometer; the course may be closed after the third loop if this pace is not maintained.
On-course services include one or more water stations, toilets, athlete massage areas and a checkroom next to the volunteer tent. All finishers receive a standard BougeBouge medal; personalized medals are available only during online registration and must be ordered at least ten days before the event. Event photos will be published after the race.
The festival program features inflatable games, circus performances, food trucks, dance workshops, construction workshops and a collective painting activity. Group discounts apply for multiple ticket purchases; online registration closes ten days before the event and on-site registrations are limited.
