Event overview
The BougeBouge Marathon and Verdun Festival takes place in Verdun, Montreal on 13 September 2026. The event offers multiple race distances on a certified course along the river bike path. The event is sanctioned Gold by Athletics Quebec and the 5 km, 10 km, 21.1 km and 42.2 km distances are certified by Athletics Canada. The marathon is recognized as a Boston Marathon qualifying race.

Course and rules
The route runs on the bike path beside the river. Aid stations and toilets are available on the course and at the start/finish. Marathon and half-marathon runners receive colored snap bracelets to identify laps. Participants must maintain a minimum pace of 8:32 per kilometer; the marathon course may be closed after the third loop if the required pace is not met. Timing is provided by Sportstats and results are classified by age category.
Festival, registration and logistics
The festival program includes inflatable games, circus performances, food trucks, dance and construction workshops, and collective painting. Registration prices are listed on the event page and may increase in the 90 days before the event. A platform fee and taxes apply. Bib and medal pick-up must be completed during the event pick-up period; unclaimed medals will be recycled. Free bib transfers are allowed during pick-up with proof of payment.
