Bottoms Up Beer Run 4K

The Bottoms Up Beer Run is an annual event held at Wickham Park in Melbourne, Florida. The race follows a course that weaves through the park, starting and finishing near Pavilion #1. This event serves as a fundraiser with proceeds benefiting the St. Baldrick's Foundation for childhood cancer research.

Participants in the 4K event have the option to consume beer or cider provided by SAAZ at specific Refreshment Stations. The experience includes a beer shot at the start, a beer shot at every 1 km mark, and a full beer upon completing the course. Although beer is a central theme, participation does not require the consumption of alcohol; water and Gatorade are available as alternatives.

The event is timed and features an awards ceremony for various categories, including the top three male and female overall finishers, masters, and teams. Age group awards are also presented, ranging from under 21 to 70 and older. All finishers receive a bottle opener medal. The race is limited to 400 entrants for those wishing to receive a t-shirt and medal.

Safety and legal regulations are strictly enforced. All participants must present a valid ID to receive a wristband for alcohol consumption, regardless of age. Beer must be consumed within the designated refreshment stations and cannot be carried onto the public park paths. The park also maintains a strict no-glass policy.
