Boston Marathon
The Boston Marathon is organized by the Boston Athletic Association and presented by Bank of America. The 130th edition of the race is scheduled for Patriots' Day, Monday, April 20, 2026. The route runs from Hopkinton to Boston and is supported by nearly 10,000 volunteers.
The field includes 30,000 participants. The event features a revised six wave start arrangement; bib numbers, start assignments, and wave times for the 130th edition were publicly announced. Partners named in association with the event include Bank of America, adidas, and Schneider. The Boston Marathon also operates an Official Charity Program, which has fundraised a total of $50.4 million through that program.
