Boston AAPI 5K - South Boston
The AAPI 5K is a community road race in May 2027 that recognizes Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. The event hosts a 5K run and walk and aims to create a safe and welcoming space for AAPI runners and walkers, raise funds and awareness for AAPI nonprofit organizations, and support AAPI small businesses.
The event includes a team competition where the fastest teams will win Cha Siu Baos for team members identified as two women and two men. A costume challenge is part of the program, with bonus points for participants dressed as anime characters.
Organizers do not offer race day bib pickup. Bib pickup is arranged in advance at DICK'S House of Sport, 760 Boylston St, Boston, on May 13, 14, and 15. Friends or family may collect bibs on a participant’s behalf. A specific pickup period is noted on Friday, May 15.
Activities on the day include group arrival, stretching, a group photo, and a combined run and walk. The location for the event is Carson Beach Picnic Area in South Boston. The event is planned to proceed in rain or shine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
