Boston AAPI 5K
The AAPI 5K is a road race held at Carson Beach Picnic Area in South Boston, MA. The event marks Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and aims to provide a safe and welcoming space for AAPI runners and walkers.
The event also serves to raise funds and awareness for AAPI nonprofit organizations and to support AAPI small businesses. The course distance for participants is 5 kilometers.
Teams with eight or more runners who register by April 12 will receive a cha siu bao or a bolo bao. The registration deadline for teams is used to help organizers prepare and order enough buns.
There is a costume challenge for the 5K; participants who run or walk in costume may receive bonus points for Anime characters. There will be no race day bib pickup. BIB pickup is available at DICK'S House of Sport, 760 Boylston St, Boston MA, on Wednesday May 13 from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm, Thursday May 14 from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm, and Friday May 15 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
