Born to Run 5K - Walk, Run & Family Fun Day
Born to Run is the sixth annual community 5K and family event held at Central Park in Roseville, located at 2495 Victoria St N, Roseville, MN 55113. The event supports Women’s Life Care Center and aims to raise funds for free pregnancy and parenting education, material support, and financial aid for families in crisis.
Activities scheduled as part of the family day include face painting, balloon art, rock painting, physical fitness challenges, a bouncy house, and other children’s activities. The event offers participation categories for runners, walkers, and a kids activities only option.
Fundraising incentives are part of the event structure: raising $100 qualifies a participant for the commemorative event T-shirt, and raising $200 earns a shirt for every person on a team. A donation of a box of new diapers enters donors into a drawing for a $200 Walmart gift card.
Raised funds total $6,835.62 toward a $25,000 goal, representing 27 percent of the target. Local organizations listed as sponsors include AALFA Family Clinic, Catholic United Financial, Chick Fil A, and others.
