Boot Run 5K - RGVLS Champs for Champions
This event takes place in Mercedes, TX on February 21, 2026 and comprises three separate runs with different formats and age rules. The timed races use gender and age divisions and award medals and top three prizes in each division. The fun run is untimed and focuses on wearing cowboy boots.
Distances
- 5K Boot Run: ages 11 and over
- 1K Kicks Run: ages 10 and under
- 1K Bull Run FUN RUN: untimed fun run
The Boot Run and Kicks Run are timed events with age divisions. Age divisions for the timed races are 10 and under (Kicks Run only), 11–17, 18–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, and 60 plus. Boot wearing is not required for the timed events. The Bull Run FUN RUN has no gender or age divisions, no bibs, and no clock; a prize is awarded for the best pair of boots.
Awards and logistical notes are provided for participants: the timed races include finisher medals and first through third place awards in each division.
