RGVLS Boot Run 5K - RGVLS Champs for Champions
The event is organized by the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show in Mercedes, TX and takes place on Sunday, October 25, 2026. Proceeds support the RGVLS Champs for Champions program. A race map and past race results are available.
Three running options are offered:
- 5K Boot Run for ages 11 and over
- 1K Kicks Run for ages 10 and under
- 1K Bull Run Fun Run open to all ages with no clock or bibs
The Boot Run and Kicks Run use gender and age divisions, with age groups established for race day. Awards for the Boot Run and Kicks Run include finisher medals and 1st through 3rd place in each race division. The Bull Run Fun Run has a prize for the best pair of boots and no separate division awards.
Registration opens August 1 and is structured in multiple phases: early bird, regular, late, race week, and race day, with fees increasing in later phases. Early bird registrants receive a free t shirt. Family and group registration packages are available with a stated per entry discount. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the event for pre registered participants, and onsite race day registration is offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
