Boot Run 5K - RGVLS Champs for Champions
The event takes place in Mercedes, TX on October 25, 2026 at 1000 N. Texas Ave. It consists of three organized runs with different formats and age rules.
- 5K Boot Run for ages 11 and over
- Kicks Run 1K for ages 10 and under
- Bull Run FUN RUN 1K no divisions, no bibs, no clock
The 5K and 1K Kicks Run use gender and age divisions. Age divisions for the timed races include 11-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+; the 1K Kicks Run also lists a 10 and under division. The Bull Run FUN RUN has no gender or age divisions; participants are encouraged to wear cowboy boots and the best pair of boots receives a prize.
Awards for the Boot Run and Kicks Run include finisher medals and placements for first through third in each race division. Registration periods are listed by date ranges: Early Bird in August, Regular in September, Late registration in October, and a race week registration period. Early Bird registration includes a free T-shirt. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the event for pre-registered participants, and onsite late registration is available on the event date.
