Veterans United Brewing Boos and Brews 5k Race / 1 mile fun run
This event takes place on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Veterans United Brewing, 8999 Western Way #104, Jacksonville, FL 32256. The program combines a timed running event with a Halloween-themed atmosphere and a costume contest judged with audience participation. Packet pickup is held on race day.
Distances:
- 3 miles - three loops of a 1-mile loop
- 1 mile - walk
Participants receive a free Veterans United Brewing draft beer, a glow in the dark finisher medal, and race shirts while supplies last. The running event is chip timed and offers awards by age and gender with age groups listed as 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and older. Splits will be provided for each mile on the 3 mile course.
The event includes a team option for 5k racers where teams of four compete for awards; awards are planned for both the fastest and slowest teams and additional awards are given to team members.
