Boos and Brews 5k Race and 1 Mile Fun Run
The Veterans United Brewing Boos and Brews event takes place in Jacksonville, Florida. This event combines a running competition with a Halloween celebration hosted at the brewery. Participants can choose between two primary distances:
- 3 miles (5k)
- 1 mile
The 3 mile event consists of three repetitions of a 1 mile loop. Professional chip timing is provided by Florida Race Day LLC, and split times are recorded at every mile mark. Awards are presented for the 3 mile distance based on age and gender categories, ranging from 19 and under to 70 and older. Results are posted live during the event.
Teams of four participants can register for the 3 mile race. Recognition is given to both the fastest and the slowest teams. The event also features a costume contest with audience participation.
Participants receive a glow-in-the-dark finisher medal and a race shirt, subject to availability. Those of legal age also receive a draft beer from the brewery.
