Boontling Classic 5K Footrace
The 41st Annual Boontling Classic is a community footrace held in Boonville, California. Organized by the North Coast Striders, the event takes place at the Anderson Valley Elementary School. The race is open to runners and walkers of all ages, providing a community focused environment for participants.
The event features a single distance:
- 5 km footrace
Participants compete within ten different age divisions. Awards are presented to the top three finishers in each of these divisions. Additionally, plaques are awarded to the first overall male, female, and non-binary finishers. After the race, a drawing is held featuring various prizes donated by local Anderson Valley businesses.
All proceeds from the event are donated to the Anderson Valley Food Bank in Boonville. Registration is available for individual adults and youth, with a specific pricing tier for families. Children under the age of six may participate in the race for free. Participants have the option to purchase t-shirts, which are printed locally in Ukiah by Grindstone Printco, though these are available in limited quantities.
