About the race
BOOKIN' IT 5K is scheduled for October 10, 2026 at the Trussville Public Library, 201 Parkway Drive, Trussville, AL 35173. The event is organized by the Friends of the Trussville Public Library, a volunteer group that supports the library through community programming, advocacy, fundraising and book sales.
The event offers a chip timed 5K with three participation options: an in-person 5K, a stroller push 5K, and a sleep in virtual 5K. The in-person and stroller options have a registration fee of $30, and the virtual option has a registration fee of $25. In-person registration opens April 10, 2026 and closes October 2, 2026; virtual registration remains open through October 10, 2026. Each registration includes a race t-shirt.
Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are available to support the Friends group and the library. The race starts and finishes at the Trussville Public Library and will use electronic chip timing for recorded results. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
