5th Annual Book It! 5K
The event includes a Halloween themed costume 5K run/walk to benefit the Parish Public Library. The course distance is 3.1 Miles and the event takes place in Parish, NY at 16 Union Street, Parish, NY 13131.
Registration opens on 2026-07-31. Race registration is $25 per person through 2026-10-10 and $30 per person after that, plus a processing fee. Register by 2026-10-10 to guarantee a race shirt; signups after that date receive shirts on a first come first served basis.
The race is dog friendly for well trained dogs that remain on leash, and dog costumes are welcome. Costumes are encouraged for all participants. Awards will be presented after the race for winners in Men’s, Women’s, and Youth categories. There are also prizes for Best Costume in Adult, Youth, and Dog categories.
A Chicken BBQ will follow at the Parish Public Library. Advance sale chicken dinners are $12 through 2026-10-25; at the door the price is $15 and sales continue until sold out. Advance tickets are available online with a small processing fee through 2026-10-25 or in person at the library using cash, check, or Venmo only. All proceeds benefit Parish Public Library.
