"Boo" Milby Memory 5k Run/Walk
The "Boo" Milby Memory 5k Run/Walk is a charity road event held on August 15, 2026 in La Salle, Illinois. The event benefits the Illinois Valley Alzheimer's Group and starts and ends at the VFW at 2325 Donahue St, two blocks west of Route 351.
The event offers a 5k distance (3.1 miles). Online registration opens January 1, 2026 and paper registration is available through race day. Entry fees are listed as $30 before August 14 and $35 on the day of the event, with a $5 discount for Starved Rock Runners members. Entries are made payable to Starved Rock Runners.
Organizers welcome strollers and encourage walkers. The use of headphones is not permitted. A water station will be available on the course; participants are advised to carry any additional nutrition or hydration they need to complete the distance. Runners are responsible for knowing the course and for their own safety while on the route.
Age group awards follow the Starved Rock Circuit awards structure for 2026 with categories for male and female competitors including 9 and under, 10-12, 13-16, through 75 and older. Race results will be posted through the listed race platforms and participants who opted in at registration may receive a text message with their finish time.
