"Boo" Milby Memory 5k Run/Walk
The "Boo" Milby Memory 5k Run/Walk is a community 5-kilometer event held in LaSalle, Illinois that benefits the Illinois Valley Alzheimer's Group. The event uses the VFW at 2325 Donahue St., La Salle, IL 61301, and the course both starts and finishes at that location, two blocks west of Route 351.
Registration is available online through August 15, with paper registration accepted through race day. Entry fees are listed as $30 before August 14, $35 on the day of the event, with a $5 discount for Starved Rock Runners; the one-day promotional discount does not apply. Entries are payable to Starved Rock Runners.
Race administration follows the Starved Rock Circuit age groups and awards for 2026. Age divisions for awards are listed for male and female participants as 9 and under, 10-12, 13-16, 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75 plus. Strollers are welcome and walkers are encouraged. Headphones are not permitted.
On course, a water station will be available and participants are advised to bring any additional nutrition or water they require. Post race results will be posted at Starved Rock Runners, RunSignup and Racing Expectations. Participants who opted in during registration may receive a text message with their finish time shortly after crossing the line. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
