Boo Dash 5k : Asheville, NC
The Boo Dash 5k is a Halloween themed running event held on October 18, 2026 at the Tanger Outlet Mall in Asheville. The event features a flat 5-kilometer course that passes through the outlet mall and an untimed kid friendly fun run loop inside the mall.
Event formats include:
- 5K race with chip timing and a commemorative race shirt
- Untimed 0.25 mile fun run loop inside the mall
Proceeds from the event are donated to the Asheville Police Department Foundation. The foundation is a nonprofit that gathers community support and resources to enhance the effectiveness of the Asheville Police Department, promote public safety and crime prevention, and build trust between law enforcement and Asheville residents.
Registration opens April 10. Early registration pricing for the 5K is tiered: April 10 to July 16 is $45, July 17 to September 6 is $50, and September 6 through race day is $55. Fun run registration is a flat $10 fee. All 5K participants receive a finisher coin; fun runners receive a finisher coin and race bib.
Awards include overall top places for male and female categories plus masters and grand masters, age group awards for first place male and female in each listed category, and costume awards for best adult, child, and group costume.
