Boo Dash 5k
The Boo Dash 5k is scheduled for October 18, 2026 at the Tanger Outlet Mall in Asheville. The event is a family friendly 5K run or walk on a flat course that passes through the outlet mall. It is organized as a Halloween themed community run.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Asheville Police Department Foundation. The foundation is a nonprofit that gathers community support and resources to enhance the effectiveness of the Asheville Police Department, promote public safety, support crime prevention, and build trust between law enforcement and Asheville residents.
Registration opens April 10. Early registration pricing is listed as April 10 to July 12 for $45, July 13 to September 6 for $50, and September 6 through race day for $55.
All 5K entrants receive a commemorative race shirt, chip timing, and a finisher coin. Awards include overall male and female placements for 1st through 3rd, 1st place Masters (40+), 1st place Grand Masters (50+), and age group 1st place male and female awards across the listed age categories.
The Tanger Outlet Mall and event organizer maintain a no refund policy. A separate Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection Program is offered by a third party and the organizer does not guarantee refunds. Transfers to virtual entry, another runner, or a different distance are permitted up to five days before the event via the registration page.
