The Boney Mountain Trail Run takes place on February 7, 2026, at Rancho Sierra Vista / Satwiwa, 4121 Potrero Rd, Newbury Park, CA 91320. The event is listed as Race #3 of the SoCalTrail "Trail ½ Series."

Course and support
The routes run through the Santa Monica Mountains and Point Mugu backcountry. Features include creek crossings, single-track climbs, backcountry canyons, climbs with boulderous peaks, and ocean views. The 7k course runs deep within Sycamore Canyon and includes multiple creek crossings.
Aid stations are located along the course at Mile 1.3 (The Split), Mile 4.5 (The Water Tower), Mile 5.8 (Danielson Ranch), and Mile 11.9 (The Homestretch). All aid stations are stocked with Skratch Labs hydration. Finishers receive a medal and a race tee with same-day results. An age-group and overall awards ceremony is held at the post-race festival. The event also lists complimentary breakfast tacos and exhibitor samples, post-race sports massages provided by Vision For Enrichment, and free race day photos released after the event.
