Bondi to Manly Ultra : event overview
The Bondi to Manly Ultra returns on Saturday 24 October 2026. The event is a point to point 80 km run that follows the Bondi to Manly walking track around Sydney Harbour and uses coastal and harbour trails through urban and natural areas.
The event is offered in multiple formats:
- 80 km Solo Full route from Bondi Beach to Manly Beach
- 2 x 40 km Relay Two runners split the course into 40 km legs
- 4 x 20 km Relay Four runners split the course into approximately 20 km legs
The route begins at Bondi Pavilion and passes cliffs and coastal walks including Dover Heights, Watsons Bay and the Hermitage Foreshore Walk. It continues around Rushcutters Bay, the Royal Botanic Garden and the Sydney Opera House, then crosses the Sydney Harbour Bridge and proceeds through North Sydney and coastal reserves to Manly Beach.
The course is described in four legs with listed distances and elevation gains:
- Leg 1: 19 km, 329 m elevation gain, Bondi Beach to Lyne Park
- Leg 2: 20 km, 360 m elevation gain, Lyne Park to Milson Park
- Leg 3: 23 km, 326 m elevation gain, Milson Park to Clontarf Reserve
- Leg 4: 18 km, 256 m elevation gain, Clontarf Reserve to Manly Beach via North Head
