About the race
The BOLDERBoulder 10K is an annual Memorial Day road race in Boulder, Colorado, founded in 1979. The event covers 10 km and is locally owned and operated. Runner’s World named it "America’s All-Time Best 10K."
The event draws large participation each year, regularly reporting more than 52,000 participants and about 70,000 spectators. Organizers stage walking, jogging, and running waves so participants can cover the course at different paces. The professional International Pro Team Challenge brings elite male and female athletes from around the world to compete during the event.
The finish area is inside the University of Colorado’s Folsom Field, where the pro race finish and a Memorial Day Tribute take place in the packed stadium. The Tribute is a ceremony that honors those who gave their lives in military service.
Support activities and resources linked with the event include medals and awards, results and photos, course maps, a pre-race expo, parking and transportation information, and volunteer programs. Sponsors and partners named in event materials include NIKE, Avery Brewery, and Joggy. The BOLDERBoulder organization also presents related events such as the ColderBOLDER 5K.
