Boise River Marathon, Boise, Idaho
The Boise River Marathon takes place on May 2, 2027, along the Boise River Greenbelt with in-person and virtual options. The event offers multiple distances that run out and back along the river corridor, with a turnaround at Lucky Peak State Park for the marathon. The route is entirely paved, car-free, well shaded, and remains close to moving water for much of its length. Early May conditions often include fresh cottonwood leaves, high mountain snowmelt, and seasonal wildflowers.

The start and finish are at 250 E Parkcenter Blvd in Boise, so participants can park once at the same location. Aid stations are placed roughly every two miles and the race uses chip timing with live splits and finish alerts. The marathon course limit is six hours and thirty minutes. Packet pickup is available the day before and on race morning. Entries are nonrefundable; transfers between distances are free until April 1 and deferral to 2028 is allowed until March 15. Race entries include a race shirt for registrations received by April 1, a finisher medal, chip timing, race photos, and finish area food and drink.
