Boise Greenbelt Relays & 50 Mile Ultra
The Boise Greenbelt Relays & 50 Mile Ultra is a loop-based running event that utilizes the Boise River Greenbelt. Participants can choose to participate as solo runners or as part of a relay team. The course spans several areas, including central Boise, Garden City, Eagle, and Southeast Boise. Both the start and finish lines are located at Ann Morrison Park.
The event features several participation options:
- 50 Mile Solo Ultra Distance
- Two Person Relay
- Four Person Relay
- Six-Seven Person Relay
For relay teams, the course is divided into seven legs, with distances for each leg ranging from five to eight miles. There are six exchange zones established along the route where teammates must hand off a slap bracelet to ensure accurate tracking and results. These exchange zones are equipped with bathrooms, parking, and aid stations.
The 50 mile solo course is described as a non-looped route and is notably flat. While the majority of the race takes place on the Greenbelt path using shoulders and sidewalks, roads are not entirely closed to traffic, and participants must follow signalized crossings. Results for all divisions are categorized by team size, and co-ed teams are permitted to compete within their respective size divisions. Each participant receives a swag item for taking part in the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
