Bogus Trail Series
The Bogus Trail Series is a three-race summer series held on the trails of Bogus Basin in Boise. The series uses a Grand Prix style scoring system where finishing place determines points, and there are top male and female winners. Timing is unofficial while scoring is official. Participants who attend one or more races receive a customized hat sponsored by Fleet Feet Treasure Valley.
Each race starts and finishes on the grass area in front of the J.R. Simplot Lodge. Parking is provided at the Simplot Lodge Main Lot. Course layouts vary by week and follow named trails including Deer Point Trail, Brewers Byway, Sunshine XC, Bogus Creek Loop, and Shindig. Specific course lengths for the event weeks are listed below.
- 4.5 miles (June 26 and July 24)
- 3.5 miles (July 10)
Packet pickup is available the day before each race at Fleet Feet Meridian and on race day at the race start line at Bogus Basin. Results are posted after each event and historical results from prior years are available. Course maps are provided for each race week. The series is presented as a community trail-running event with scored finishes and repeatable course routes on established mountain trails.
