Bognor Prom 10km Road Race

The Bognor Prom 10km Road Race is an established event that has taken place since 1994. The course is famously flat, with a total height undulation of less than two metres, making it a high-speed route suitable for participants aiming for personal best times. The race is conducted under UK Athletics rules and holds a Run Events licence, with a course measured and certified accurate by the Association of UK Course Measurers.

The route begins at West Park in Aldwick. Participants follow the Bognor Regis Esplanade through Felpham before returning along the sea front to finish back at West Park. Where the course utilizes public highways, those roads are closed to vehicular traffic. The entire route is marshalled for the duration of the event. To ensure participant safety and adherence to UKA rules, the use of headphones is restricted; only bone-conducting headphones that do not block the ears are permitted.

Competitors have a 90-minute window to complete the course on the closed roads. After this time, any remaining participants are moved onto footpaths to finish the race. The event headquarters is located in the Race Village Marquee at West Park, where extensive free car parking is also provided for entrants.
