BOFRA - Cowling Community Festival
Cowling Community Festival's senior race is a short fell run organized by Wharfedale Harriers in Cowling, North Yorkshire. The 2.75-mile course climbs about 475 feet, starting and finishing in the gala field (Playing fields, Cowling). The route heads from the Recreation Ground through stiles and back lanes, crosses a main road, then climbs onto the moor toward Cowling Pinnacle (Salt Pot/Wainmans Pinnacle) with a brief rocky scramble.
Runners continue to Sutton Pinnacle (Pepper Pot/Lunds Tower) before returning the same way to finish back at the gala field. Registration opens in the morning; entry is £5 for seniors. It offers a local, friendly atmosphere and showcases Cowling's hillside scenery. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
