Summer Sizzler - Rochester
The Summer Sizzler is a multi-distance running event held at Cascade Lake Park and Zumbro West Park in Rochester, Minnesota. The event features a variety of distances to accommodate different participants, ranging from short dashes to longer road races. All participants receive a designer shirt, a custom finisher medal, and a custom bib. Professional race services include chip-timing with live results and awards for the timed distances, as well as free digital photos. After the race, refreshments such as Kona Ice and finish line treats are available.
Participants can choose from the following event distances:
- 50 m Kids Dash (untimed for children ages 10 and under)
- 1 Mile (untimed)
- 3.1 Miles (5K)
- 6.2 Miles (10K)
- 9.3 Miles (15K)
The 5K, 10K, and 15K distances are chip-timed and include awards for top performers. For the Kids Dash, children can participate for free if they do not wish to receive the shirt or medal. There is also a virtual race option for those unable to attend the physical location, allowing runners to complete their distance at any site and receive their materials via mail.
