Heatwave Half Marathon - Orlando
The Heatwave event presents multiple in-person and virtual running options at Blue Jacket Memorial Park in Orlando, Florida on 07/18/2026. Distances and event formats offered include:
- Kids Dash - 50 m, untimed, youth-only
- 1 Mile - untimed
- 5K - chip-timed
- 10K - chip-timed
- Half-Marathon - 13.1 miles, chip-timed
- Half-Marathon Relay - team entries, chip-timed
- Volunteer Then Run - volunteer shift then run any distance
- Virtual Race - run any day, any location
Registration for many events includes a custom bib, designer shirt, and a custom finisher medal. Youth pricing applies for the 5K and 10K: ages 12 and under are $17. The Kids Dash registration includes a mini bib, youth-sized shirt, and a specially crafted medal; the 1 Mile is untimed and includes a bib, shirt, and medal.
Chip-timing with live results and awards is provided for the 5K, 10K, Half-Marathon and relay entries. Free photos are provided for participants. Finish-line amenities listed by the organizer include free ice cream. Virtual participants receive a digital bib, event shirt, finisher medal, and packet shipping; packets ship the Wednesday after the race. Teams must register individually for the relay. Running Buddy entries require prior approval.
