Run for Wishes 5K benefitting MAKE-A-WISH Connecticut
This event is a fundraising 5K run or walk hosted by STAR 99.9 and the Surfside Hotel with Little Pub in the Lordship section of Stratford, Connecticut. Proceeds support MAKE-A-WISH Connecticut and the event is sponsored by Connoisseur Media, the Surfside Hotel and Little Pub. The event is produced by MS Running Productions and is limited to 250 participants.

- 5K run or walk along scenic roads.
- 200 yards free kids run for children 9 and under.
The course runs near Long Island Sound and is described as very flat and scenic. The start and finish are located near the Surfside Hotel and Little Pub at 10 Washington Parkway, Stratford. Participants completing the full 5K are eligible for awards based on computer time.
Awards and extras include overall male and female champions removed from age groups, first place age group awards across standard age brackets, and the possibility of additional placings depending on registration numbers. Every participant is entered into a giveaway; a raffle and additional fundraising opportunities will take place to benefit MAKE-A-WISH Connecticut. The Surfside Hotel is providing a hotel stay as a grand prize.
Post-race provisions include snacks and one adult beverage for participants 21 and older, plus nonalcoholic options. Classic t-shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrations completed by July 26; availability after that date is not guaranteed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
