Race Overview
The Bluegrass Mile & Trotters 5k! is an event offering two race distances: a one-mile race and a 5-kilometer race. It will be held at the Red Mile venue in Lexington, Kentucky.
Location and Course Details
The races take place at the Red Mile, located at 1200 Red Mile Road. The one-mile event is run entirely on the venue's smooth, packed dirt track, covering a distance of 5,280 feet. For the 5k event, participants start on the iconic Red Mile race track, then exit for a short out-and-back section before returning to run a final lap on the track's inner circuit.
Event Information
This will be the fourth annual edition of the event. The number of registrants for the mile may determine the number of heats, and if participant numbers allow, both the mile and 5k runners may start at the same time.
