Bluegrass Mile & Trotters 5k!
The Bluegrass Mile & Trotters 5k takes place on April 17, 2026 at Red Mile in Lexington, Kentucky, 1200 Red Mile RD, 40504. The event is the fourth annual Bluegrass Mile and includes a new Trotters 5K for 2026.
The Mile is run on the dirt track at Red Mile; the surface is described as smooth and packed. The one mile distance covers eight furlongs, equal to 5,280 feet.
The Trotters 5K begins on the Red Mile track, exits for a short out-and-back segment, then returns to the track and includes a lap of the inner circuit. The number of sign ups for the Mile will determine how many heats are seeded. If participant numbers allow, milers and 5K runners may be sent off at the same time.
Strollers and dogs are not permitted on the course. Entry fees for each event are published separately. Route and parking maps are provided by the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
