Bluegrass Half Marathon & Relays
The Bluegrass Half Marathon & Relays is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2026, in Johnson City, TN, with the start/finish area at Founder’s Park Pavilion (106 S. Commerce St.). The event offers a half marathon, a 2-4 person relay, and a virtual option. Course, logistics and services
The course begins on Commerce Street beside Wild Wing Cafe and finishes in the pavilion parking lot. Relay exchange locations include Local Motion (Alabama St), Southside Elementary School, and the Tomy Thai parking lot at State of Franklin and Lyle St. The course is USATF certified. There are multiple water and beverage stations along the route, including locations at the Burley Parking Lot (Legion St & State of Franklin), Walnut St & Earnest St, and Market St & Gold Star Blvd.
Packet pickup and race packet distribution are provided in advance and near the start/finish area. The event provides medals to all finishers (NO BIB = NO MEDAL). Trophies are awarded in overall, masters, grandmasters, age groups, and relay team categories. Dogs and strollers are not permitted on the course.
