Bluegrass 10,000 : Lexington, KY : July 4, 2026
The Bluegrass 10,000 is the event's 50th annual running and racing day in downtown Lexington, Kentucky. The main road race is a USATF certified 10K held near the Fayette County Circuit Court at 120 North Limestone. The race day includes an on-site parade, a festival and an evening fireworks display in Lexington.
Available event types include foot races, wheelchair push rim divisions and hand cycle divisions, plus virtual race options. Virtual 5K and 10K entries may be completed between July 4, 2026 and July 7, 2026; participants may use any app to track and upload results. No awards are provided for the virtual events. Race packets and shirts are distributed at packet pick-up; packets are not mailed.
Registration fees vary by event and range from $20 to $35. The one mile Fun Run begins and ends at the same finish line as the 10K and 5K; strollers are allowed in the Fun Run. Pets, roller skates, in-line skates, bicycles, scooters and skateboards are not permitted in the Fun Run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
