Bluebird Run and Walk for Brookie B
The Bluebird Run and Walk for Brookie B is a community event for suicide awareness and prevention held on Monday, September 7, 2026 (Labor Day) at JR Alford Greenway, 2500 Pedrick Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32317. The event includes multiple race options and a non-participant T-shirt offering.

The 5K follows a loop on wide multi-use trail through the greenway and includes two water stations. The 1 Mile is an out-and-back canopy trail that crosses the Lafayette Heritage Canopy Bridge and has a water station at the turnaround. Leon County has also marked a permanent Bluebird Trail at JR Alford Greenway, signed as either 3.3 miles or 3.5 miles.
Onsite features listed for the day include attendant parking, a party tent with lights and balloons, live music with a DJ, free sno-cones and fresh fruit, a Soul Zumba warm-up, a Mental Health Fair with local providers, and a Memory Lane tribute area for those lost to suicide. Awards are presented for Overall, Masters, Grand Masters and for top three finishers in five-year age groups.
