Blue Ribbon Run 5K & Fun Run - Gainesville
The Blue Ribbon Run 5K & Fun Run takes place on 02/07/2027 at Candler Field (across from cabin, behind City Park), 528 Prior Street, Gainesville, GA 30501, US.
The event program includes the following distances:
- 1 mile Fun Run, free registration
- 5K Run/Walk, registration fee $30.00
- 5K Virtual race, registration fee $30.00
Registration windows differ by event. In-person registration opens 07/20/2026 and closes 02/07/2027; virtual 5K registration opens 07/20/2026 and closes 02/06/2027. T-shirts are guaranteed to participants who register by 01/15/2027.
This is the 14th anniversary of the event, formerly held as the Embrace Race 5K, and is presented under the Blue Ribbon Run name for 2027. The race is an official PEACHTREE QUALIFIER.
All proceeds benefit the Edmondson Telford Child Advocacy Center, a 501c3 nonprofit serving child abuse victims in Hall and Dawson Counties. The center provides forensic interview and medical examination services to suspected child abuse victims free of charge and coordinates cases with local agencies. The organization describes its mission as being the place where trauma ends & healing begins.
