Event details
The Blue Devil 5K is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Kansas City Kansas Community College. The event is presented as a 5K fun run/walk and notes a kids trot as part of the overall event branding. All 5K finishers receive a finisher’s medal. The event will be held rain or shine, though the race director may cancel the event if conditions are deemed unsafe; no refunds will be issued. Logistics and awards
The venue is the Wellness & Fitness Center (Upper level Health Professions Building) at 7250 State Ave, Kansas City, KS 66112. Packet pickup is available before the event and on race morning at the race site. Event parking and packet pickup are assigned to Parking Lot I; Parking Lot H is discouraged because it lies within the 5K route. A course map is provided by the organizers. A complimentary pancake breakfast will be served after the event. Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers and by age group for male and female participants in these ranges: 0-9, 10-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, and 90+.
