Event Information
The Blue Devil 5K takes place at Kansas City Kansas Community College. The event includes a 5 km run and walk.
Location & Facilities
The race start and finish is at the Wellness & Fitness Center, located in the upper level of the Health Professions Building at 7250 State Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas. Parking is available in Parking Lot I off Delaware Street near the Campus Childcare Center and Credit Union. Participants are asked to avoid Parking Lot H by the CEB Building, as it is on the race route.
Participant Experience
All finishers of the 5 km distance receive a finisher's medal. The event schedule includes music and warm-up activities, and a complimentary all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast presented by Chris Cakes is offered after the race. An awards ceremony recognizes top overall male and female finishers, as well as winners in age categories ranging from 0-9 to 90+.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available the day before the race at the Wellness and Fitness Center and on race morning at the site. The event is scheduled to be held regardless of weather, though it may be canceled if conditions are unsafe. Registration for the 5 km costs $20.
